Attractive spots to admire coral reefs in Vietnam

If you want to find new experiences in the beautiful bays of Vietnam, you can make your own trip to the ocean world, deep diving and admire hundreds of species of colorful coral reefs.

  1. Con Dao

Located off the southern coast of Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Con Dao has 16 large islands and unique ecosystems. Visitors will have the magic moments when witnessed the beauty of the “treasure” coral under the blue water.

In Phu Quoc, Large Hon Tre Island is the largest gathering of coral reefs of the whole country. To get here, you can take a boat or canoe from Ben Dam port or Ong Dung beach. In addition, visitors travelling to Con Dao are also very excited with the activity of watching sea turtles lay eggs in Bay Canh Island. Breeding season of sea turtles is from March to October every year.

In the north, the best viewing point for coral reefs is Doi Moi or Hon Tay Island. At low tide, the coral in these locations is only about 10m – 12m from the water surface. If you look more closely, you can also see the world of marine life with the system of extremely rich rocks stacked under the sand surface.

If visiting the south of the island but ignoring Hon May is really regrettable. The water here is so clear that every coral reef or pebble can be seen.

  1. Binh Ba

Dubbed the “lobster capital,” Binh Ba is located about 60km southeast of Nha Trang city, Cam Binh commune, Cam Ranh city, Khanh Hoa province. Visitors to this island all like to enjoy the experience of scuba diving exploring the ocean, looking at countless beautiful colorful coral reefs. The landscape here is too wild because it is less affected by humans.

In Binh Ba, there are many beaches for visitors to dive into the coral, such as Chuong beach, Nom beach, Nha Cu beach … In particular, Nha Cu Beach is considered as the best view of coral by the focus of many strange coral reefs in low sea level and blue water color.

If you do not know how to swim, visitors also have the opportunity to explore the unique features of the coral when the tide draws water away. Coral reefs nearby shore are not beautiful as underneath the sea but enough to make you surprised.

Located about 10 km north-east of Da Nang city, Son Tra Peninsula is one of the places with excellent marine life. Let’s enjoy the feeling of being immersed in the glistening sunshine, swinging in the gliding waters, or touching the magic of the reef.
