1.Best Angkor Temples – Angkor Wat
Best Angkor Temples – This is the most famous temple in Cambodia, built by King Suryavarman II in the 11th century, this was a Hindu Temple, but after the Khmer dynasty follow Buddhist, the Angkor Wat has become a Buddhist Temple.
Angkor Wat is really huge and is surrounded by a large wall. In front of the temple, there are many is lotus lakes, looks very graceful. 2. Bayon Temple
Bayon Temple is located in the center of Angkor Thom – the last capital of the Angkor Empire. Initially, the temple has 54 large and small towers, but now it has only 37 towers relatively intact.
On each towers there are giant faces carved into stone overlooking the four directions. The face smiles mysteriously made Bayon become one of the most impressive temples and most emotional of Angkor.
3. Ta Prohm
Ta Prohm is a special temple in Angkor relic; it becomes more famous as actress Angelina Jolie filming her movie “Tomb Raider” here. The temple was built with the Bayon style in the late 12th century and early 13th century, with the first name is Rajavihara and formerly used as a monastery and school of Mahayana Buddhism.
Unlike most temples at Angkor, Ta Prohm remain intact with landscape, large trees around the ruins and the jungle that surrounds it has made it one of the temples that tourists visit most in Angkor relic.
4. Banteay Srei
Banteay Srei is one of the tiniest temples. This is not a typical temple in Angkor because it is situated about 25km away from the major monuments. Banteay Srei Temple was built primarily of red sandstone; a colored substance is added to sculptures which were meticulously decorated on the wall and still visible nowadays.
