    Paradise Cave

Paradise Cave (or Thiên Đường Cave) is one cave in the World Heritage-listed Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park of Vietnam. This cave was located in Son Trach Commune, Bo Trach District, Quang Binh Province. It was firstly discovered in 2005 by a local man and then explored by members of British Cave Research Association. The explorers were so amazed at its spectacular stalagmites and stalactites that they gave it the name as Paradise Cave.

Also, with 100m high, 200m wide, with a capacity for 100 people, this cave is listed as the longest dry cave in Asia. It has been open for tourists since September 2010. Inside the cave, there is a river called Son River. Legend has it that the name Son (Vermilion) is to commemorate the faithfulness of a couple who rather downed themselves into the river than live separately.

Hang En is the third largest cave in the world and it is also located in this National Park. The position of the cave is under a mountain. There are waters, jungle and beach inside. The cave is 1,645 m long, 100m high and 170m wide. To reach the cave, you have to spend about 4 ours trekking through the jungle.

  1. Son Doong – World’s biggest cave in Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park

Located in the heart of Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park, Quang Binh Province, Son Doong has just been discovered in 2009 and open for tourism since 2013.

This is now the biggest cave in the world. So, how big is it? Son Doong is estimated to be 5km long, 200m tall and 150m wide, which is equal to a total volume of 38.5 million cubic metres. It’s even large enough to house two Boeing airplane. It’s so big that it has its own rivers, lake, jungles and its own climate.

People say that there are less human put step in Son Doong Cave than on Everest Mount. This is partly because the price for 4D3N is high, about $ 300 and only 10 tourists can join in one tour. At the moment, it has been fully booked until 2020.
