Inle Lake is a freshwater lake in Shan State, Myanmar. This is a famous tourism destination of Myanmar.
Situated at a height of more than 800m above the sea, Inle is the second largest freshwater lake in Myanmar, it owns the rich flora and fauna, beautiful scenery.
Intha people who live at the Lake Inle mainly subsistence, only a small number them do travel for living. All daily activities are taking beside the lake.
At Inle Lake there are romantic sceneries with wonderful climate, suitable to travel at any time of year. But the best time is about 9-10 months every year, that is the time that traditional festivals occur.

At Inle, guests can visit the famous village of the Padaung people whose custom is wearing collar, they are also known as the long-necked people.
The long-necked Kayan women – of Padaung ethnic. The reason they are called long neck for the long-standing tradition, wearing many bronze necklaces.
The girls will begin wearing the necklace when they are about 2 or 5 years old. Each year, the number of necklackes will increase. Therefore, their neck can longer to 40 cm, with nearly 16 kg necklaces.
There is one more special thing on Inle lake that visitors will have opportunity to observe the weavers textile from lotuses.
Buddha statues are also popular souvenirs in Myanmar.
Go to Inle Lake, you will be attracted by the life of the Intha, craft villages, floating markets on the lake with full colors of life, visit the famous Nga Phe Kyaung monastery.
