Lok Baintan Floating Market in South Borneo is attractive sight to many tourists in Indonesia. Since morning, the locals have to gather at the river to trade and exchange of goods. The products here mainly include fruits, vegetables and seafood.
These sellers often connect their boats together in a long chain of about 20 boats to be pulled by a motorboat along the river.
Photographer Fauzan Imaduddin came here early to record the daily activities that take place in the Lok Baintan floating market.
Local people usually busily trade in small boats for all day long. At the end of the day, the sellers will themselves sail the boat or rent a motorboat hauling them home.
The small boat called jukung in Indonesia. They usually used to move within short distances. So if people want to go further, they often rent larger motorboats called kelotok to pull them away.

The agricultural products and seafood which are sold at the market are grown and bred by the local people. The specialities could be mentioned are tropical fruits such as rambutan, oranges, guavas, … After purchasing good from these market the sellers continue carry them to sell in land market in the town.
