  1. The best time to visit Phong Nha

Quang Binh has two distinct seasons, based on which you can choose the most suitable time to visit Phong Nha Ke Bang:

From April to August is the dry season, the outside temperature is 36, 37 degrees but the cave temperature is only 20 – 21 degrees. At the same time the water in the shallow so tourists can visit all the caves here.

From September to March next year is the rainy season, river water rises up the cave entrance, tourist boats can not enter, especially Phong Nha cave. For Tien Son and Heaven Cave, you can still get into.

  1. How to get Phong Nha Ke Bang

To reach Phong Nha, you must first reach Dong Khoi City, Quang Binh Province.

To Quang Binh: From Hanoi or Saigon, you can take a flight to Dong Hoi Airport, or take a train, bus at a more economical cost.

From Dong Hoi city to Phong Nha Ke Bang: You can go by motorbike or taxi.

Tien Son Cave

Paradise cave was dubbed the “palace inside the earth”. This is one of the most magnificent and magical wonders in the world. It is the longest dry cave in Asia. Thien Duong cave is 31.4 km in length, width varies from 30 to 100m, width is 150m and maximum height is 60m.

There are also many stalactites that have accumulated over thousands of years, forming many different shapes. This cave has many stalactites in shape more spectacular than the Phong Nha.

This is a branch of the Phong Nha cave system, which is still quite primitive. The cave gate is about 20m width and 40m high. The total length of the cave is 5258m; the highest point is about 80m. At the cave entrance is the home of a sanctuary of Ha Tinh langurs (a kind of precious animal named in the Red Book of Vietnam), in the cave there are many stalactite shaped stalagmites of various shapes – the habitat of swift, bat. This cave is different from other caves, there are no lights so come here you have to carry a flashlight. The cave is located near a river so the stalactite here is covered with a mossy style, very characteristic.

There is a total length of 1645m, across a mountain and into three caves, one in the middle of the mountain, two at the foot of the mountain (this is a rare feature in Vietnamese caves).

En Cave has features the Phong Nha or Heaven Cave can not have. There is a green river, light shining on, reflecting on the ceiling of the cave as more shimmering, fanciful scenery. At the top of the cave are stone niches, stalactite with beautiful shapes, this is also the residence of many swallows, and bats (due to the habitat of many swallow should be called new En Cave). The scenery here is beautiful, however, the road here is very difficult: total distance to walk up to 30km, including: 10km to the slope, 10km downhill, 10km to wade streams, forest ice. So to get to this cave, you have to exercise well.
