When the night falls, it is time for the lights to turn up at various recreation spots to enjoy Kuala Lumpur nightlife.  Like any other developed cities in the region, the capital of Malaysia is crowded and bustling from morning until very late at night. There is a wide range of bars, restaurants, nightclubs with various styles in this multicultural country. Among those spots, four names including Asian Heritage Row, Bukit Bintang, KLCC and Bangsar seem to be the most popular destinations for those night owls.

  1. Bukit Bintang

“Boulevard No. 1” is the name that visitors favor to call this road. There are almost no houses here. Two sides of the road give way for numerous shops of different sizes. This is also the main road of Bukit Bintang.

Changkat Bukit Bintang:

Changkat Bukit Bintang is often compared to Piccadilly Circus in London and Times Square in New York. Moreover, this area is located just behind Jalan Bukit Bintang Road, so it is very convenient to pay a visit. From here, take a short walk, you can go to the culinary route Jalan Alor.

Pinchos Tapas Bar: is a Spanish style bar that is quite crowded at weekends, so if you come late, it is hard to choose a place. Its address is at 18 Changkat Bukit Bintang.

  1. Kuala Lumpur City Center (KLLC):

During the daytime, KLCC is known as the financial and administrative center of Kuala Lumpur. When the sun goes down, KLCC turns into a hot and expensive entertainment venue. Many clubs, bars and pubs are scattered all over the KLCC, with much focus on Jalan P. Ramlee, Jalan Ampang and Jalan Sultan Ismail.

If Bangsar or Asian Heritage Row is that close and popular, then KLCC is the place of more luxury bars with its most prominent spots sitting on high-rise building looking through the city.

Jalan Ampang: As one of the major thoroughfares of the area, Jalan Ampang is just a few minutes’ walk from Suria KLCC and Petronas Twin Towers. The nightlife of this street also fascinates many tourists who are extroverted.

Guests will be charged a 50RM entry fee (guests staying at this hotel are free of charge). This is the cost of a drink. The atmosphere here is rated as quite friendly with good service.

Sky Bar: is located on the 33rd floor of the luxurious Trader Hotel KL, just steps from the Petronas Twin Towers. It is not the highest bar in the city, but it seems to be the most favorite bar among young people because it can look straight to the magnificent twin towers with sparkling lights in the evening.

Jalan Sultan Ismail: The road is not far from Petronas Twin Towers and right at the Dang Wangi LRT Station.

Hard Rock Cafe KL: is the place for live music, especially rock music. Its address is at Ground Floor, Wisma Concorde, No 2, Jalan Sultan Ismail

Jalan P. Ramlee is the place for exciting dance floor and nightclub.

Beach Club Cafe: brings visitors a space as if they are on a sunny beach. Its address sits at 97 Jalan P Ramlee.

  1. Asian Heritage Row

Situated on the grounds of a colonial-style building on Jalan Doraisamy Road, the Asian Heritage Row is a mix of restaurants, bars, clubs and cafes with quality live music. It is even compared to the Soho in London or Montmartre in Paris. The building was forgotten for a long time before being invested to become the hottest place in the capital.
