More and more Aussie holiday-makers are venturing beyond Bali in search of untouched islands and authentic Indonesian experiences, according to the owner and cruise captain of Indonesian Island Sail, Amanda Zsebik.

Since 2014, Zsebik has been running tours on a Indonesian two-masted sailing ship, Al Iikai, one of only three sailing boats in the region that offer non-diving sails.

“It has become evident that there is a gap in the market when it comes to provide to other special interest groups,” Zsebik says.

“Along with our original tour of sailing to West Nusa Tenggara, we are extremely pleased that our yoga and cruise fit itineraries, which combine sailing, water sports, yoga or CrossFit, have proven well-known among travelers.”

Zsebik says small group sailing holidays appeal to holiday-makers keen to get away from the masses and take pleasure in a restful escape in untouched natural surrounds.

The quaint but satisfying ship contains up to 15 passengers and its sailing itineraries vary between six and 10 days, with chances to snorkel and visit marine life sanctuaries and unique islands as well as the themed activities.
