Mr. Nguyen  Cam Xa, Party Secretary of Cam Ha Commune, said: “About 400 years ago, villagers started to produce vegetables and festivals were formed. Initially, the ceremony was held at each family, then, after the city has policies to restore the traditional Tra Que Vegetable Village, together with praying at each family, ceremony takes place with the participation of the whole community.

At the beginning of the ceremony, the elders sent out representatives to pray and bring offerings to ancestors. On the altar are products from Tra Que local farms, in which there are essentially a cock holding a flower in his mouth and pink sticky rice beautifully decorated with flowers. Next is the main festival with contests like gardening and cooking contest – the most expected part.
