The world’s longest cable car will bring tourists a fascinating journey from the air to capture 360o view to the heaven of sea, islands, forests and beaches in An Thoi islands, South Phu Quoc. Getting off the cable car, tourists can fully enjoy the beauty of Thom Island with white sand beaches, clear blue water, wild jungles and spectacular rock bay. Many new services and games have been available at Sun World Hon Thom Nature Park like paragliding, banana floats, snorkeling, under-sea walking, kayak, etc, promising an unforgettable holiday.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of Hon Thom world’s longest cable car route, Mr. Pham Vu Hong, Chairman of Kien Giang People’s Committee said: “Phu Quoc tourism has witnessed remarkable changes over the past few years with the help of big corporations and smart investors. Especially, new and appealing products like Sun World Hon Thom Nature Park will be a big boost, bringing more new tourists to Ngoc Island, lengthens the stay of visitors.”

Also speaking at the opening ceremony of this world’s longest cable car, Mr. Dang Minh Truong – Vice-chairman, General Director of Sun Group added: “Phu Quoc is long considered as the jewel of Vietnam tourism, with the potential that hardly any destinations in the world can be comparable, even Maldives or Bali (Indonesia) or Phuket (Thailand). However, the growth speed of Phu Quoc over the past few years is not worth that potential. In 2017, Phu Quoc welcomed approximately 3 million tourists. Even though this number doubled 2016 number, compared to 8 million visitors to Phuket every year, it’s still a too big gap. There are just few visitors to Phu Quoc because apart from natural beauty, Phu Quoc tourism doesn’t have many interesting entertainment activities and services are still poor, especially in the South Island area. Deciding to invest in this area, Sun Group brought about the new world-level resort JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay. By launching Hon Thom cable car as the world’s longest cable car route, together with Sun World Hon Thom Nature Park, Sun Group hopes to contribute to bringing Phu Quoc new modern, high quality, and an increase in number and target of visitors to Ngoc Island, making South Phu Quoc an attractive destination that’s worth its potential.”
