Da Lat, Vietnam
Da Lat Train Station was built in 1943 and although it is small, it offers you a great glimpse of how people would have traveled in the days of old. The traditional ticket windows are still here and there is also a delightful steam train on show. You can take the train, which is a wood burning locomotive, for around 5 kilometers up a mountain pass which ends in the idyllic village of Trai Mat. One thing to note however is that you need four passengers in order for the train to run so you may have to hang around if no one else shows up.
