Chiang Mai

Known as the beautiful 'the rose of the North', Chiang Mai has been praised by its natural beauty and unique culture. The city was founded by the Great Mengrai as the capital of the Kingdom of Thailand in 1296. Today, Chiang Mai is the centre of economy, communication, culture and tourism of Northern Thailand.

The topography here is mainly mountains and forests, part of which is the national park with flora and fauna are very rich.  In addition, there are many points for tourists to learn about the lifestyle of the tribes that settle on the high hills.
