How to make Vietnam traditional Nem

Nem is a kind of spring roll favoured by Vietnam people, especially in Hanoi. Nem’s characterized by local flavours and served with very tasty fish sauce (blended with sugar, lemon, chilli…). Upon instructions of our Chef, we kindly to tell you how to make the most simple recipe of Vietnam traditional Nem. Let’s hand on and surprise your family:

Nem’s ingredients:

Find list of ingredients as follows:

– 500g milled pork

– 1 onion, 1 the kohlrabi, 1 carrot

– Herb

– 10 ear fungus, 3 eggs

– 30g dried vermicelli

– Spices, Pepper

– Rice paper (3 sheets/ person in average). You should choose the type of rice paper to easily fold without tearing it.

– A half bowl of fish sauce, 1 lemon, sugar.

Then carefully take 6 easy steps:

Step 1: Peel and roughly grate the onion, kohlrabi, and carrot

Step 2 : Plunge 10 ear fungus into boiled water in from 7 – 10 minutes. Till it softens, cut it into smaller. Repeat this step with dried vermicelli.

Step 3: Put 500 gram of pork in a large bowl, pour all the ingredients from above steps into that bowl Then, crack 3 eggs into the mixture. After that, you blend all the ingredients together with a little of spice (because rice paper soaked salt)

Step 4: After you fold Nem like this,

A dish of raw Nem is done.

Step 5: Fry them in oil until they all change colour.

Step 6: Fill the bowl of fish sauce with water, ½ lemon and about 4 spoons of sugar, some slices of chilli. You will have very delicious sauce. Besides, it will be more savour if added to minced garlic.
